UAB “Iremas” was awarded a significant award for the company and its employees

This award was given to “Iremas” by “Orlen Lietuva” company. 54 days after the shutdown of the only oil refinery in the Baltic States, the capital repair works at the facilities of the Orlen Lietuva company have been completed.

“We are sincerely happy that we were one of the four among many contractors who received a significant award for the company and its employees,” said E. Damaševičius, who received the award. The friendship and cooperation of “Iremas” company with “Orlen Lietuva” has been going on for more than 15 years.

This time, the people of Mažeikiai also felt that a serious project – capital repair works – was being carried out 20 kilometers from the city. For two months, all accommodation facilities in the city were filled, the increased flow of cars and freight transport was felt on the Mažeikiai-Skuodas road. At the peak, more than 2,000 people of contracting organizations entered the refinery for inspection and repair work. Four dozen cranes worked in the area, about 15 kilometers of pipelines were replaced, and more than 300 various technological devices were inspected.

Overhaul of the oil refinery takes place every 4-5 years. The budget for this repair is 80 million. euros. One forth of this budget was the Catalytic Cracker Modernization Project.
