Balancing the rotor of a low-pressure compressor in an ammonia unit
At one of the sites we service, JSC Achema, we have been intensively conducting major repair work since mid-year. By mid-October, we are tasked with carrying out significant repairs in the Ammonia, Carbamide, UAN, AN, and CAN units.
One of the most important and interesting works carried out by the Machinery Repair Unit was balancing the rotor of the low-pressure compressor in the JSC Achema Ammonia unit. The rotor weighs as much as 5000 kg!
We are pleased to announce that this critical task has been successfully completed—the compressor has been assembled, and the work has been handed over to the client. MRC manager Volodymyr Lybenko emphasizes that due to the rotor’s large size and weight, this task required exceptional caution and professionalism.
But that’s not the end! Other major repair works are still ongoing. By autumn, our teams will face many more complex and interesting tasks at this site. We eagerly look forward to sharing more news and stories from the repair site with you.
Stay tuned for our updates!
