One of the largest industrial projects in Lithuania underway in Mažeikiai: progress and next steps

What does it mean to be responsible for one of the most important industrial projects in Lithuania?
For our team, this means working professionally every day, where every decision, detail and responsibility counts.
IREMAS is currently carrying out the mechanical, electrical and automation construction works for the special structure “Construction of the Petroleum Products Processing Facility” in Mažeikiai. The project is remarkable in both scope and complexity, and its progress shows clear results.

Results achieved (early April 2025):
> 2,500 tonnes of erected metal structures;
> 87 000 inch metres of pipelines ranging from 25 mm to 1 m in diameter;
> 15 km of cable routes installed;
230 tonnes of electrical equipment installed;
670 tonnes of static equipment installed.

Implementation of works:
Installation of metal structures – 84%;
Installation of pipelines – 25 %.

Team and human resources:
The project currently employs more than 125 people, but the number is expected to increase to 450 in the near future, taking into account the increasing volume and intensity of works.

Upcoming phases of work:
Installation of electrical cables;
Installation of control equipment;

One of the most technically challenging phases is the installation of the 65-metre high torch, the successful completion of which will be a major achievement for the project and the company.
This project is not only an engineering challenge. It is also a testament to the competence of our team, the precision of our planning and the quality of our project management.
We are delighted to have contributed to a project of this magnitude and we continue to work hard to achieve the highest quality and safety standards.
