IREMAS INVESTS IN PRODUCTION AUTOMATION

UAB Iremas, which provides engineering services, has acquired a new computerized metalworking machine – a CNC center for vertical machining. This is another step in the company’s expansion of automation processes for metal processing. The investment of up to 100,000 euros is focused on products for foreign and domestic markets.

The new Hyundai Wia 400 vertical milling center will allow more efficient and high-quality machining.

“We hope that this investment will expand the range of our products and allow us to organize production processes more efficiently using different types of processing centers. By further increasing the number of CNC machining centers in the company, we are focusing on foreign markets and the products developed for them, ”said Edmundas Damaševičius, CEO of Iremo.

The head of the company says that export services have grown by 40% in the last three years. This was influenced by the company’s long-term strategy.

This is the sixth computerized machine tool in the company. They will be used to process small products. Planning the expansion, the company will acquire another large-scale (6-meter-long) metal processing center this year.

UAB Iremas, which belongs to the concern Achemos grupė, is one of the largest companies providing engineering services in Lithuania. The company has almost 600 employees and its divisions are located in Jonava, Kaunas, Panevėžys and Klaipėda.
